Booking

You can book easily through our website: 1) Search for your route by selecting origin, destination, and date. 2) Choose your preferred ferry and time. 3) Enter passenger details. 4) Complete payment. You will receive an e-ticket via email immediately.

We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), bank transfer, PromptPay, and various mobile payment options. All payments are secure and encrypted.

We recommend booking at least 1-2 days in advance. During peak season (December-January, April, July-August), book 3-7 days ahead as ferries fill up quickly.

Yes, you will receive an email confirmation with your e-ticket immediately after successful payment. Please save or print this ticket.

Yes, you can book for multiple passengers in a single booking. Just select the number of passengers when searching.

Cancellation

Cancellation policies vary by operator. Most ferries do not offer refunds, but you may be able to change your travel date. Please contact us for specific cases.

If the ferry is cancelled by the operator due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund or can reschedule to another date at no extra cost.

Contact our customer service via phone (063-863-6665) or LINE (@ferryadvice) with your booking number. We will process your request and advise on available options.

If eligible for a refund, it typically takes 7-14 business days to process depending on your payment method and bank.

Changes

Yes, you can change your travel date at least 3 days before departure. One free change is allowed. Contact our customer service to make changes.

Route changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees if there is a price difference. Contact us for assistance.

Minor name corrections are usually allowed. For complete name changes, please contact us as policies vary by operator.

Unfortunately, missed ferries are non-refundable. However, you may be able to book a later ferry on the same day at a discounted rate. Contact us immediately.

Before Travel

Arrive at least 30-45 minutes before departure. During peak season, arrive 1 hour early. This allows time for check-in and boarding.

Bring your e-ticket (printed or on phone), valid ID or passport (for foreigners), and any required visas. Some routes may require additional documentation.

Your e-ticket contains the pier name and address. You can also find pier locations and directions on our website or contact us for help.

Yes, especially during high season (November-April). Popular islands like Phi Phi and Koh Tao fill up quickly. Book early for better rates and availability.

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers ferry travel, medical emergencies, and trip cancellation. This provides peace of mind during your trip.

Travel Day

Show your e-ticket to staff at the pier. They will verify your booking, give you a boarding pass or sticker, and direct you to the correct ferry.

Standard luggage (up to 20kg) is included. Large items may require extra fees. Staff will help load your bags onto the ferry.

Most ferries have air-conditioned seating, toilets, and snack/drink service. Some larger ferries have VIP sections and outdoor decks.

Yes, you can bring your own snacks and drinks. Most ferries also sell refreshments on board.

Take motion sickness medication 30 minutes before boarding. Sit in the middle of the boat where motion is less. Focus on the horizon and avoid reading.

On the Island

Taxis, songthaews (shared trucks), and motorbike taxis are available at most piers. Your hotel may also offer pickup service - ask when booking.

Most popular islands have ATMs (7-Eleven, banks). However, smaller islands may have limited options. Bring enough cash as backup.

Major islands have good 4G coverage. Remote areas may have weak signals. Most hotels and cafes offer WiFi. Consider buying a local SIM for best coverage.

Larger islands have clinics and pharmacies. For serious emergencies, evacuation to the mainland may be necessary. Travel insurance is essential.

Respect local customs, swim only in designated areas, be careful on motorbikes, and secure valuables. Most islands are very safe for tourists.

What to Prepare

Essentials: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, swimwear, light clothing, comfortable shoes, rain jacket (monsoon season), and any personal medications.

Bring power banks, waterproof phone cases, and universal adapters (Thailand uses Type A/B/C plugs). Keep electronics in waterproof bags.

Bring both. Cards are accepted at hotels and larger businesses, but cash is needed for small shops, taxis, and street food. ATMs are available on most islands.

Thai nationals: ID card. Foreigners: passport with valid visa. Print or save your ferry e-ticket, hotel confirmations, and travel insurance.

Bring personal medications, mosquito repellent, basic first aid kit, and rehydration salts. Consider vaccinations if visiting remote areas.

Koh Phi Phi

Ferries run daily from Phuket (2 hours), Krabi (1.5 hours), and Koh Lanta (1 hour). Speed boats are also available for faster travel.

From Phuket: Rassada Pier. From Krabi: Klong Jilad Pier. Ferries arrive at Tonsai Pier on Phi Phi Don.

November to April offers the best weather. May-October is monsoon season with occasional rough seas and rain.

Koh Lanta

Ferries from Krabi (1.5 hours), Phuket (3 hours), and Phi Phi (1 hour). You can also drive via the bridge from the mainland.

Yes! Lanta is more relaxed than Phi Phi, with calm beaches, family resorts, and less nightlife. Great for a peaceful vacation.

Phuket

Rassada Pier is the main ferry terminal for Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, and other islands. It is about 30 minutes from Patong.

Taxis and Grab are available from anywhere in Phuket. Many hotels offer transfer services. Allow 30-45 minutes from tourist areas.

Krabi

Klong Jilad Pier (also called Krabi Passenger Port) is the main terminal for ferries to Phi Phi, Lanta, and Phuket.

Large ferries for Phi Phi and Lanta. Longtail boats for Railay Beach and nearby islands. Speed boats available for private trips.

Surat Thani

Ferries to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao depart from Donsak Pier (1 hour from Surat Thani city).

Night ferries to Koh Tao are available with sleeping cabins. Great for saving accommodation costs.

Chumphon

Multiple ferries daily from Chumphon pier. Journey takes 1.5-3 hours depending on ferry type.

Yes, Chumphon is closer to Koh Tao. Choose Chumphon for Koh Tao, Surat Thani for Koh Samui.

Bangkok

No direct ferries. Options: 1) Fly to Surat Thani/Krabi then ferry. 2) Bus + ferry combo packages. 3) Train to Chumphon/Surat then ferry.

Joint bus+ferry tickets save time and hassle. Departures from Khao San Road area to all major islands.

Koh Tao

World-renowned diving destination with affordable certification courses. Beautiful beaches and relaxed island vibe.

Ferries from Chumphon (1.5-3 hours) or Koh Phangan/Samui (1-2 hours). Night boat options available.

Koh Phangan

Monthly on the full moon at Haad Rin beach. Book accommodation and ferries early - extremely popular event.

Beautiful beaches, yoga retreats, waterfalls, and laid-back vibes. Great for wellness tourism.

Koh Samui

Direct flights from Bangkok (1 hour) or ferry from Donsak Pier, Surat Thani (1.5-2 hours). Airport is on the island.

Samui is smaller, more boutique, less crowded. Phuket has more variety and nightlife. Both are excellent choices.

Koh Kood

Thailand's most pristine island with crystal clear water, waterfalls, and minimal development. Perfect for nature lovers.

Ferries from Laem Sok Pier, Trat (1-1.5 hours). From Bangkok, take a bus or fly to Trat.

Koh Mak

Small, quiet island between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. Family-friendly with no cars or nightlife. Very peaceful.

Ferries from Laem Ngop or Laem Sok pier in Trat. About 1 hour journey.

Koh Chang

Thailand's second-largest island. Has full infrastructure: hospitals, ATMs, 7-Elevens, car rentals, and diverse accommodation.

Short ferry crossing from Trat (30-45 min). Cars can drive on. Very accessible from Bangkok (4-5 hours by bus).

Trat

Gateway to Koh Chang, Koh Mak, and Koh Kood. Multiple piers: Centerpoint, Laem Ngop, Laem Sok.

Flights from Bangkok (1 hour), buses from Ekkamai station (5-6 hours), or drive via highway 3.

Langkawi

No, Langkawi is in Malaysia. But ferries connect from Koh Lipe (Thailand) making island-hopping possible.

Ferry from Koh Lipe to Langkawi (1.5 hours). Immigration at Telaga Harbour, Langkawi. Passport required.
