Koh Chang is Thailand's second largest island, and located on eastern side of Thailand. The most biggest island in Thailand is Koh Phuket that is situated on south of Thailand. Koh Chang was lightly-populated. The topography contains high mountains and complex stone cliffs. On the eastern side of the island, there are a long white sandy beaches. Koh Chang is one of a dream island of tourists. There are many rich in fertile evergreen forests, waterfalls, beaches and splendid reefs. Especially, Klong Mad is very famous. The tourists can take a boat to see beautiful Mangrove forest.

Today, we are going on a trip to Koh Chang by take a bus and high-speed catamaran ferries with Boonsiri start at Khao San road, Soi Pattani. Boonsiri is an operator of high-speed catamaran ferries service, bus to Koh Kood, Koh Mak. This year, Koh Chang is a new route expansion.

The passengers can walk in to check in at office will be open since 3.00 pm. The passengers can show a voucher ticket or a voucher from your mobile phone for check in with staff. For make a reservation, please book at least 3 days in advance before going on your trip cause a lot of passengers travel to Koh Kood, Koh Mak. In case of holiday season, please book at least 1 month in advance by contact us from

Bus and boat schedule from Khao San Road to Ko Chang.

For return to Bangkok, a bus will take passengers to Khao San road destination.

Today we choose timetable departure at 05.00 am., a bus will take us to Laem Sok terminal at 10.00 am. A bus will be stop at Rayong province for breaktime.

 Passengers will be arrived at Laem Sok terminal at 10.00 am. You need to show the ticket for checking with staff before take a ferry.

Passengers can contact to check in at lobby for reconfirm. The staff will ask you about a detail of the resort that you make a reservation. When you arrived at Koh Chang, a car will take you to the resort.

You can order some food, water and snack at Boonsiri’s office to bring it to ferry. Please avoid bad smell food cause public area and choose outdoor zone seat.

Boonsiri’s office will set area to relax for passengers.  Also, there are valet parking services to service private car.

This is a valet parking services area (will be charge 50 thb/ car/ day). The staff will carefully take care and monitor with CCTV.

10.20 am., Staffs will inform passengers to take them to Laem Sok terminal by tram around 1 kilometer that take time 10 minutes will be arrived. Please prepare your ticket to show staff before take a ferry.

This is inside area on a ferry. The name of new ferry is Mae Had. Inside the ferry have a 3 floors. We prepare facilities to service all passengers such as air conditioner, mini bar to order some food, restroom and staff will take care you all times on your trip.

A ferry takes time from Laem Sok terminal to Koh Kood approximately 1 hour. A ferry will stop at Ao Salad (Koh Kood).

If your destination is Koh Kood, Ao Salad is your destination. For others passengers who would like to keep going to Koh Mak, Koh Chang. You need to change another ferry from this port. Today, our destination is Koh Chang !

 of Koh Kood. Boonsiri ferry is only one service from Laem Sok terminal to Koh Kood, Koh Mak. However, Koh Mak can service only high season (16 th Oct-15^th May every year)

We arrived at Bang Bao port, Koh Chang. A staff will take care to bring your luggage to Boonsiri’s office.

We stayed at Boonsiri’s office, Koh Change. Staff will reconfirm our resort reservation and will prepare car to take passengers to resort with no charge for this services. The car will stop at 7-11, Had Sai Khao beach and Bang Bao beach (this route free of charge). For others route, passengers need to take local transportation in area.

We stayed at AANA RESORT & SPA KOH CHANG. Actually, we plan to stay at AWA. Unfortunately, the resort fully booked because we did not book in advance. Then, we searched booking.com to find a resort. So, we found AANA RESORT & SPA KOH CHANG. The resort is so great, peaceful and good view. However, for next time if we go on a trip. We will book a resort in advance to avoid this problem.

This is villa room. The room is very suitable for family because the room is so beautiful with a swimming pool to service their customers.

After we checked in at the resort, we walked around to survey. It’s really good view with beautiful canal.

It’s time to have lunch. While we took it, we talked to plan to diving at Koh Chang. A lot of company services for diving. We choose MR.KHAI. They prepared a car to take us from resort to see them. We choosed diving with 4 island packages (Laoya, Wai, Khum, Rung ), the price is 800 thb/person.  A car will be arrived resort at 8.00 am.

It’s time to breakfast.

After we full with great breakfast. We went to wait a car at resort’s lobby to take us to office at Bang Bao port for check in before leaving to enjoy with diving .

After checked in at Bang Bao port, we took a wooden boat because speed boat is no restroom and there are strong winds. That’s may be take a wooden boat is better than speed boat. A wooden boat have a lot of seats and relaxing area for sleeping.

We arrived at Bang Bao port, MR.KHAI boat will stop to wait passengers. Staffs will stand by for recheck the ticket.

 The boat will have a 2 style which is 2 and 3 floors, this boat will have a many services such as slider swimming, restroom, water and passengers can take some foods to the boat as well.

The first island is Lao ya. Due to a strong wind today, we keep going to Had Yao beach for diving.

There are small boats to take us to diving. This point takes time to diving 1 hour. When time out is coming, the boat will honk the horn to inform passengers to take a boat.

A lot of fishes in this area !

This is Giant Clam, you will see a lot in this area and can be found at depths of as much as 20 m.

This is Siamese Tiger fish, you can see anywhere when you diving. After we left from here. We keeping going to Wai island and have a lunch. Staffs will prepare some foods for all passengers. Foods will not spicy such as rice with Thai omelette, chicken soup etc. Because almost of tourists is foreigner. This is winter season, almost Thai people will go on a trip in north of Thailand. However, today is so hot.

Next island is Rung, this area will have a ranger staff to take care tourists. They will investigate all boats. This area will be charged 40 thb/person (Thai), 200 thb/person (Foreigner).

Nearly area is another island (Giant island)

This is a boat of MR. KHAI. If you would like to travel at Koh Chang and have a plan to diving. We recommended MR. KHAI, they have a good services.

A boat will take us back to Bang Bao port and arrive around 16.30 pm. You will see Boonsiri ferry in the picture. This ferry will take us back on tomorrow at 10.00 am. After we arrived, a car will continue take us to the resort.

Fried herbal vegetables with scallop. So…..delicious !

Fried pork with garlic on rice. Great !

Shrimp chili dip. Delicious but quite spicy.

In a morning today, we will go back at 10.00 am. We prepared our luggage and waiting a car since 9.00 am. for taking us to Bang Bao port.

A car will take us to Boonsiri’s office for check in the ticket. A ferry will stop at Bang Bao port.

If you get back at 12.00 am. A car will take you to Center Point port. A ferry looks like as the picture above. This ferry can take a car on the boat. After that, staff will continue take you to a bus for going back at Bangkok. They will take care passengers all times on trip.

We arrived at Laem Sok port. After that, a tram will take us to Boonsiri’s ferry.

We will wait a bus to take us to Bangkok at Boonsiri’s office.

Ice cream Koh Chang !

The bus will stop 1 time at Chanthaburi province for take a rest and shopping. If have a traffic jam, driver will consider stop 2 times. We will be arrived at Bangkok 20.00 pm. The bus will stop 2 point this is airport link Ladkrabang and Khao San road.
