This island started as the originally hippy backpacker destinations in the 1970s and because of the influx of massive tourism the island has changed. Although many backpacker places can still be found, most of that scene has relocated to the nearby island of Ko Pha Ngan.

One of the major advantages of Ko Samui is that it is larger with more tourist options and has an international airport. Also there is an excellent road system around the island making it easy and cheap to get around. If looking for great diving, beaches and fun, Ko Samui is an amazing place.

This travel we will go to Koh Samui at Suratthani province by bus.

We start traveling around 20.00 hrs. On the way, the car will stop at Tha Sakae for a break.

      The bus drop off passenger opposite at (wing 7 Surathani Thai air force) about 05.00 Am. We make an appointment with a rental car at the petrol pump. which is about 500 meters away from here. We use a service car of the tape car rental office. traveler can book before traveling and return the car at Surathani airport.

 
This morning we came to Seree Tae Tiam restaurant to take breakfast. this restaurant is famous for dim sum with a lot of menu.

there are a lot of cold drinks at the restaurant . this restaurant near with the Kaset market.

we drove a car to return to Surat Thani airport. after that we come to the Songserm counter to use vouchers for check-in.

 We take a van from the airport to Dansak pier Takes about 1.30 hours.

 
At Donsak pier. tourists should prepare a ticket to show with the staff to confirm before the time of depart.

Songsurm ferry boat is a large boat with 3 floors and can support passengers about 300 people.

The boat is quite wide. comfortable with air conditioning for passengers.

For those who feel stiff from sitting in a long time can walk to outboard for relax and enjoy a beautiful view.

We took time 1 hour to arrive at Nathon pier of Koh Samui. We can get to resort in many ways. there is Charter taxi transfer to the resort but price rather expensive and pick up truck car price is 40-60 baht/person. today we have traveled a long distance so we looking for a hotel near Nathon Pier.

 
The evening at Anahata Wellness Resort. Koh Samui is a quite nice resort.

Fried spring roll is very tasty. Time around 05.00-07.00 pm. we can see the sunset at our resort.

this time. it is a beautiful  sunset

In evening suitable for relaxation with peace and privacy place.

We come to Nathon market to have dinner. This area is very cheap. The food cost is 5-10 baht.

This menu is baked rice with seafood and topped a big crayfish. I love it

After fully we will return our resort to take a rest for tomorrow.we planning to go Chaweng .

This morning we took a van from Nathon Pier to Chaweng. There is van service at the pier, price is  80 baht.  Fares depend on the distance.

P168  HOSTEL

Today we take rest at p168 hostel. it is a resort in the center of Chaveng and this area is the most popular of Koh Samui.

this hotel is close to public way beach, which the customers without having to walk through other hotels. Most of entrances the beach are private and do not allow people to outsiders

 check-in before entering the room. The ground floor of the P618 hotel is the restaurant, there are both Thai and foreign food with good price. 

Beside of restaurant, there is a living room for those who need to relax.

 For those who staying at this resort, please help keep this clean and tidy. The resort will provide a shoe closet on the ground floor. tourist should take shoes off before entering the room.

Our room is the top floor of the hotel with a sea view at chaweng beach.

This room quite new and suitable for being a couple or single.

View from our room can see Chaweng beach. There is an alley beside the resort, which customer can walk to the beach.

After keeping the baggage into the room. We came to a restaurant for lunch. This menu is pork topped a sauce.

This menu is fried noodle in soy sauce, it’s very delicious.

    The restaurant at the resort has 2 zone are air-conditioned room and outside are mini-bar for soft drink

Hinta-HinYai is popular for tourists of Koh Samui.

Hinta is a granite rock that looks like the sexual organ of men. caused by erosion of the sea, wind, and sunlight for a long time.

Hinyai is granite rock that looks like t sexual of women. caused by erosion of seawater.  Most of the tourists come to this area to take pictures of Hinta – Hinyai and spend time enjoying the view.Hinta-HinYai is signature of Koh Samui. this area has many shops including restaurants, coffee shops, and souvenir shops.

    For this weather, suggest fresh coconut milk ice cream served with coconut is very yummy. The most famous souvenir of Koh Samui is caramel. Tourists bought caramel here because it is delicious than other places.

 In the evening, we will return to the resort for our dinner at the p168 resort. then we will move to the coral cliff beach resort at Koh Samui.

This menu is steamed seafood in coconut.

Another menu is stir-fried crab with curry powder.

After having dinner. we moved to the coral reef beach resort. If you come to Samui don't worry about traveling to other places, There are pick-up trucks taxi run all night.
Before boarding a pickup truck, we should negotiate the price. at night, the car price may be higher than during the day time.

We booked a room in advance at the Thai teaw thai exhibition. The  advantage, there is a free shuttle car for returning to the pier, price is 1000 baht/person from normally 1800 baht/person

The resort has renovated. Our room is very great.

At the balcony, we can see the swimming pool of the resort. Tomorrow we will go to Koh Angthong. The van will pick up us at 07.30 Am.

This morning, we had breakfast before going to the Mu Koh Ang Thong.

These menus at the resort are standard menu like other resorts.

The van will drop us at the check-in point for boarding the boat. The traveler must show the voucher to check in with the staff.

This boat will take us to Ang Thong Island, takes about 1 hour to Koh Wua Ta Lab.

On the way, the boat through many small islands

Now we arrive at Ang Thong Island

The boat will stop at Wua Ta Lab island because it is unable to take passengers to the beach. But the staff will take passengers to board a small boat to pontoon.

We spend time for a small boat to pontoon around 5 minutes.

 tourists are walking to the island.

Koh wuatalab is a part of mua Koh Angthong national park.

Beautiful place with the white sandy beach.

Now we came to the first point of viewpoint. Walk up approximately 300 meter.

 during the way, pathway is cement and stone 

This is the second point of viewpoint, It is wonderful.

After walked down from viewpoint. We take a boat to Koh Mae ko, it takes time about 20 minutes.

Koh Mae ko is a large limestone mountain. But the beach is quite short.

TaLe Nai is a part of Koh Mae ko. we will walk up to viewpoint about 100 meters.

Talay Nai viewpoint. if we watching from here it looks like heart.

we returning from viewpoint to the beach. the staff will take us to kayaking.

After kayaking. We will go to the night market At the central festival mall.

Central Festival mall is a place for shopping and street food. There are many shops at the night market and also the food court at the central festival.

 baked mussels with cheese is Flavorful.

-A lot of tourists came to the night market for dinner and shopping.

Mango sticky rice is popular for Chinese tourist. After fully we return to resort for flight at 03.15 pm.

The van pick up us at the hotel to go Bangrak pier. We will use the service of Seatran ferry boat.

After check-in completed

The boat will take time from Bangrak pier to Nathon pier approximately 1 hour.

Inside the boat is an air-conditioned room. There are 3 floors and an outdoor zone.

You can buy some snacks from here but The price will expensive than the others.

 

The boat dropped off passengers. then we will take a bus from pier to airport. There will have the staff of Seatran pier serve for tourists.

The bus will drop off at Surat airport. For those who need travel to Koh Samui by plane should be preparing your time for flight to return back in case of weather.
