Laem Ngop Pier

                     Laem Ngop Pier or (Krom Luang Chumphon Pier) is the central pier that allows daily speedboat service direct to Koh Mak only 45 minutes (Time depends on the weather).  Krom Luang Chumphon Shrine is settled at Laem Ngop Pier that facing to Thai Navy of Koh Chang and below monument as a museum building designed similar a warship to commemorate history. He is considered to be the father of the Thai Navy who has been respected by mariners, boatmen, fisherman, and especially Chumphon people. It can be said that almost every house in Chumphon has his picture to worship since he is so well known as Sadet Tia. Moreover, the Thai Navy will celebrate the commemoration of the battle of the Navy on January 17-21 every year.

           Laem Ngop Pier has a relaxing place as a lovely garden for visitors to indulge while waiting to catch a boat.

                  The way to Leam Ngop Pier starting from Tart town and follow Sukhumvit road direct to Rat Anuson Road (No. 3148).  Only 45 minutes drive until you pass both of Trat Hospital and the market, then follow the large signs toward to Laem Ngob approximately 20 km until finding the Naval monument signs. The pier will be on the left, opposite the Thida Tour Koh Chang Ticket Center.

     On the way, there is a signpost of  Krom Luang Chumphon Bridge.

                 Leam Ngop Pier is available parking service charge only 50 THB per/day.

The Parking area will be villager's garage or regions nearby the pier because Laem Ngop pier doesn't have parking service.

           Once reaching Krom Luang pier, the staff will bring your car to a parking area, and drive a motorcycle returning to drop you off at dock is 20 THB, because the parking lot is quite far from the check-in point.

               The bus won't drive directly to the pier, but the bus will stop at Trat Bus Terminal. Then, take a blue Songthaew (shared taxi buses, basically converted pick-up trucks) from the terminal to the pier around 30 minutes (costs is 50 THB).

 The speedboat can accommodate 30 passenger/seats.

                            Speedboat runs from Laem Ngop Pier to Ao Nid directly.

There are minibus service charge 50 THB / person/trip from Ao Nid pier to all resorts on Koh Mak.
