Please note after covid pandemic now the ferry to Koh Tao has provided only one company named Lomprayah speed boat so it would be better to make the booking in advance as you can miss the boat if you walk in to buy the tickets at the pier. Lomprayah speedboat (Lom Lak Kirin speedboat)

Speedboats are approximately 45-60 seats, with 3-4 engines. The boats are arranged in rows. It takes 1 hour 45 mins from Chumphon Thung Makham Noi mainland pier to Koh Tao Island pier. There is a captain and crew on board with life jackets in every seat. Small pets can get on board, please prepare them with leash or bag. Pet expenses 200 baht per one per trip.

Lom Lak Kirin Ferry is a catamaran boat type which can accommodate 200-300 passengers depending on the size of each boat. There are 3 floors with an air-conditioned room. The VIP room can upgrade into private seats 100 baht and 200 baht per seat for additional cost or going out to take a wonderful view from the rooftop which is a very popular viewpoint.
