How to get to Krabi

The province of Krabi is famous and often visited because of its beautiful coastline. Since the coast of Krabi is the west coast, you can enjoy magnificent sunsets here. The landscape is scattered with steep limestone cliffs both on the waters as on land if you see a travel picture with a beautiful wooden boat from where the front tip peaks high above the water, it is very often taken in Krabi province.

There are many flights to Krabi airport.

At Krabi International Airport, there are domestic passenger terminals and international passenger terminals with approximately 4 million tourists per year.

After we arrived at Krabi international airport, let’s walk in front of the airport to take a shuttle bus to town or Ao Nang. Bus route > Krabi airport > Krabi town > Ao Nang Krabi.

The shuttle bus service fee is according to the distance.

Travelling from Bangkok to Krabi by private car take time about 10-20 hours depending on traffic jam and Driving. This trip, we went by private car because we also need to visit nearby Krabi province.

We choose HOP INN hotel to take a rest in this night. The room rate very low price is 550 baht per night.

The Hotel is comfortable with air conditioner, water heater, and Keycard room. The staff will clean the room every day while we stay at this hotel. For those who drive private cars can park in the area of the hotel. There is a seven eleven store about 200 mater from hotel, and motorcycle rental shop price is 200 baht per day. If you need to go pier can contact with the staff of the hotel. the staff will call a taxi for customer price is 200 baht per person.

After leaving the hotel to go to Ao Nang. We can take the bus or taxi in front of the vogue mall in Krabi town. The price during day and night, not the same price, from Krabi to Aon and about 50 baht/person /one way. The car will take time 30 minutes.

Ao nang at Krabi province

Ao Nang is a small island but has good view more than another beach because one side of ao nang has stalagmites that called Phra nang cave. With beautiful beaches such as railway beach, Tham Phra nang beach, Nam mao beach. All three of these beach cant reached by car due to the mountains blocking except tourist must be rented of ao nang.

Ao Nang is popular for tourists near with many small islands, and there are many shops. We come to ao nang to buy a tour for four islands which are Phra nang cave, Railay beach, Thale weak (sandbank) and Koh Poda.

We choose the package tour of Rung Tawan office. Price is 800 Baht with four islands including lunch, cold drink, mineral water, and guide to take care of our trip.

The ticket will specify the name of travel, date, package tour and the hotel that we have booked.

After finished buying tour package, we take time to relax at Ao nang. There are restaurants and clothing stores on both sides of the road at Ao nang.

At Ruen Mai Restaurant, we searched for a review of Pantip. The restaurant is open 2 times a day and closes at 10:00 am.

These menu price is 650 baht, all food very delicious.

Today, we have a diving activity. The van arrives at the hotel at 08.00 am. The staff will check the tour package to reconfirm before departure.

Inside the van has 12 seats. The van will take other passengers on the way. for those who buy a tour package at the Rung Tawan office and take time approximately 30 minutes from Krabi to Ao Nang.

The van dropped us at office where we bought at Ao nang tour package.

Before taking the boat, the officer will give us a document to sign our information for accident insurance and to check-in for customer. Traveling to the island by speed boat not suitable for pregnant women because the waves are quite high during the journey.

After checking in, the guide will take us to the speed boat at Nopparat Thara Beach, then we will take the boat to Phra Nang Cave first place and takes about 20 minutes.

Ko Kai is an island near Phra Nang Cave. Koh Kai looks like a chicken facing the sun. The guide will take us to dive in this area.

On a normal day, we can see the thale waek (sandbank) but today no sandbank occurs because today will be a full moon, causing the sea tide.

Koh poda
Poda Island is located in the sea about 8 kilometers away from Ao Nang, with beautiful white-sand beaches. This island no entrance fee.

This is the food from package tour, there are fried chicken, chicken soup and stir fry glass noodle. The flavor of food is not spicy for foreigner. After having lunch we will go back to Ao nang.

We take the boat for return to Nopparat Thara beach and it will take time about 20 miute.

This trip we use service of rung tawan office.

For those who interest, you can check the phone number at the ticket that we have posed before took the boat at the office.

At Krabi night market. There is a coffee shop in the corner of market.

We ordered mocca coffee 1 glass price is 80 baht, it’s good flavor

After tired of walking. We come to have dinner, this restaurant is cooked to order dishes. Price is 50-200 baht per menu. This is basil meat price is 60 baht, so delicious

In front of the market, there is fresh fruits and the price not expensive, after full with food and fruit we return to our hotel.

Today we will have lunch dim sum at pa pao restaurant.

At papao restaurant has many menu including boiled rice, rice with noodle, dim sum and cooked to order dish

The menu has a variety of prices depend on with material price is 25 baht or more.

All of those menu price is 300 baht , so delicious with good price

before going back we come to visit landmark of Krabi and take photo with eagle statue.

The statue of black crab is very popular for tourists. There is an officer service take pictures for tourists to view the area.
