Review Traveling Bangkok - Koh Samed Koh Kaew Phitsadan

Koh Samed is an island located in the area of Rayong province. The island has a triangle shape which is believed to be Koh Kaew Phitsadan in Thai literature. It has a white beach and a blue sea that are popular for both Thai people and foreigners. Traveling here is quite easy and comfortable. The nature here is abundant as well. 

Today, we were traveling from Bangkok early. Our destination is Ban Phe pier, Rayong province. This time, we will review the ferry boat across to Koh Samed. Things keep developing nowadays, we have ferries across the island.

After we finally checked-in, we found something to eat before getting on the boat.

It was near the boat's departure time. We walked to the waiting spot before 20 minutes. The pier is nearby, you can walk around 200 meters to get there.

Before getting on the boat, the staff will check the ticket before getting in the boat. You can’t let your ticket get lost. If you easily forget or get it lost, you can take a photo of a ticket on your phone.

You can choose the boat seat as you like. The boat has 2 levels. It has toilets. The first level is an air conditioner level. The second floor is a rooftop level. You can sit and watch the view while the boat is sailing. The boat can fill approximately 70 people only.

The rooftop level, you don’t have to be scared of hot weather as the rooftop has a boat canvas roof protecting the sun. 

It was my first time to get in a small ferry catamaran. Regularly, we get in a big size boat. We had to admit that the boat was very good at staying still. Sailing for a while, we arrived at the pier on Koh Samed.

We arrived at Koh Samed. It has a giantess, Phanthurat, standing and facing towards the Nadan pier. Every round, the boat will depart you to Nadan pier.

After we finished getting out of the boat, we walked into the pier. At first, we were confused about going to the exit, so we had to ask the staff. At this pier, you have to buy a pass for 20 Baht each. In a pass has a barcode for scanning on the door to get out. So good, right?

We got out from the pier to the right, and we found songthaew's parking in a roll. We can use a service from them to get to the resort for 20 Baht each. They will get out by their queue. If it’s full of people, songthaew will get out. For the rent, you can contact the driver.

Songthaew will drive to the area of Khao Laem Ya National Park. It has staff that sell tickets to the national park which are 40 Baht each for Thai people. The foreigners are 200 Baht. Please keep it on you, it can be used for 5 days.

We got out from songthaew and got to the resort. It’s not far away. This trip we stayed at KU FIN RESORT. It’s a resort that got new maintenance. The lower floor is a coffee and bakery shop. The upper floor has around 5 rooms.

The atmosphere in the room is decorated with a Loft style, cute, and warm looking. The room is not that wide. It suits 2 people staying. We can choose the other sizes here and they are not the same width.

After we looked at the room and brought our things to the place, we were hungry. We have to say that this trip had no water activities. It is determined to chill, resting peacefully from the sea vibe. Well, the eating topic is still important. For the first time, we had to inspect. As we walked from the resort, we saw Sai Kaew beach. The sand is white and tidy. The sea is very clear. We stopped by this noodle restaurant.

This is a seafood noodle dish. Does it look tasty? For this island, the food here has various prices and restaurants to choose as you like as they aren’t quite expensive.

The dinner for the restaurant that we recommended on Koh Samed. 

Pizza and honey toast aren’t quite expensive. They were delicious. You can take them home, too.

The satisfaction of this restaurant is that it has a dessert house. I think this is the only restaurant on Koh Samed that has something like this.
