Those who want travel time and don't want to drive to the pier by themselves or have no private car and don't want to take a bus from Bangkok for 6-7 hours or who travel from upcountry can travel by plane to Koh Tao. There are only 4 main airports but there is no airport in Koh Tao

「Chumphon Airport to Koh Tao」

Chumphon Airport is the closest airport to Koh Tao. Located in Chumphon Province. Don't be surprised why it's so a popular route even Koh Tao is in Surat Thani province but it's towards Chumphon, therefore, getting on the boat through Chumphon province is the closest.

- There is only one pick-up from Chumphon Airport at 09.30 hrs. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to get on the boat at 13.00 hrs. and it takes 1 hour 45 minutes by boat to Koh Tao. The fare is 1,050 Baht/person/trip. We recommend taking a flight to Chumphon around 08.30 a.m. in case for baggage claim too
- As for the return, there will be around 10.15 and 14.45 hrs. We will provide boat and transfer service to Chumphon downtown only then You have to contact a public car or van in the city to go to the airport by yourself directly.

Samui Airport is an international airport. There are many flights

Traveling to Samui Airport by plane which includes both domestic and international flights
- The first trip at 10.30 a.m. The bus will drop you off at Pralan Pier on Koh Samui then take the boat to Koh Tao around 14:30 p.m.
- The second trip at 14:00 p.m. The bus will drop off at Phra Lan as well then take the next boat to Koh Tao around 17:00 p.m.
The fare will be 850 baht/person/trip

On Return from Koh Tao to Koh Samui Airport, there are 3 trips.
- The first trip at 07.00 hrs. This is a speedboat from Koh Tao to Koh Samui. The bus will arrive at the airport around 10:00 AM.
But the fare will be 950 baht/person/trip for speedboat trip
- The second trip at 09.30 a.m. from Koh Tao to Koh Samui then the car will take you to the airport around 13.00 hrs.
- Third trip at 15:00 p.m. from Koh Tao to Koh Samui then the car will take you to the airport around 18:00 PM.
The return trip at 09.30 and 15.30 will cost 850 baht / person / trip. Please make sure you arrive at the airport 1.30-2 hours. early before your departure flight

「Surat Thani Airport」

Traveling to Surat Thani Airport by plane. There are many flights that landed at Surat Thani Airport than at other airports but booking a flight must check that included the airport pick up and boat tickets together. If you book the wrong flight, you may miss the boat to Koh Tao that day.

✈ Surat Thani Airport to Koh Tao 

        - The first trip at 09.30 a.m. The car will drop you off at Don Sak Pier. Take a boat for about 3 hours and arrive at Koh Tao around 14:30 p.m.
       - The second trip at 12.30 p.m. The car will drop you off at Don Sak Pier. Take a boat for about 3 hours and arrive at Koh Tao around 17:00 PM.
       The fare will be 1,100 baht/person/trip for both trip

Koh Tao to Surat Thani Airport ✈ 

     - The first trip at 7:00 a.m. is a speed boat from Koh Tao to Surat Thani. The bus will drop you off at the airport around 10.45 AM.
The fare is 1,200 baht/person/trip for speedboat trip
      - The second trip at 09.30 a.m. from Koh Tao to Surat Thani The bus will drop you off at the airport around 15:10 p.m. Please make sure you arrive at the airport 1.30-2 hours. early before your departure flight

「Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport」

Traveling to Nakhon Si Thammarat Airport by plane. There is a round-trip airport transfer service only once a day from Surat Thani Airport to the pier is quite close.

- Departure trip 08.30 a.m. The bus will leave from the airport and then drop you off at the pier to Koh Tao around 14.15 p.m.
- Return trip 09.30 a.m. from Koh Tao to Nakhon Si Thammarat. The bus will drop you off at the airport around 15:10 p.m. The fare will be 1,100 baht/person/trip for both trip. Please make sure you arrive at the airport 1.30-2 hours. early before your departure flight

If you want to save money then you can be traveling from Chumphon so it's another option and from Surat Thani, it takes 1.5 hours by car and 3.5-4 hours by boat
